Summary: This book is about a girl named Ginny and her parents. Her dad goes into the military and fights. The dad goes to fight in World War 2. The girl’s dad goes away when she is six years old and she remembers nothing about him and his personality. He left when she was six and he has been there for 3 years. So now she is nine.  And her dad sent her a birthday card and it talks about World War 2 because she is now old enough to know where her dad is. If you want to know the ending, you should read this book.

Reviewer’s Opinion: I think this book is awesome because it is about the World War 2 and I think that is really interesting to read about in books.

Recommended For: All ages 3rd grade and up

Summary: Song Ho is a poor kid who lives with his mother. He wanted to be a poet and he wanted to write. But he wasn’t able to go to school because he wasn't a yangban pupil. He had enough courage to go and ask Master Min (the teacher there) if he can join the other pupils. The everyday goes to the school anyway and wait till the students get inside and he would listen to what the class outside the rice door.

Reviewer’s Opinion: I thought it was a good book. It was well detailed and had wonderful illustration.

Recommended For: ages 6-12

Starter/Lead/Hook/Grabber:  Are you into trees and poetry? Well, if you are, The Giving Tree is a great book for you!

Summary: In The Giving Tree it is about how a boy meets a tree and loves it. He goes to it everyday and eats it’s apples, and climbs it. Every time it goes the boy gets older eventually the tree gets cut down to a stump by the boy because the tree lets the boy make a boat out of it’s wood. In the end, the boy gets old and brittle and he uses the stump and a seat. If you read the book you will like it.

Reviewer’s Opinion: I have read this book so many times that every time I read it gets better and better. Also, when I read this book I almost start to cry because the boy and tree love each other. This book is also very thoughtful. I LOVE THIS AMAZING BOOK!!!!

Recommended For: Ages 8+

Summary: This book is about a boy named Percy Jackson whose dad is Zeus the god in the sky. He goes on a quest to find who stole Zeus's powerful lightning bolt! Percy finds out he is a demigod. He goes on the quest with a satyr and the daughter of Athena. His mom has to send him to a protected campsite because he is a demigod and has to be protected. They go on a crazy adventure and meet Medusa and the three witches that cut the string. If you read the book you will find out who stole the lightning bolt! Was it a demigod a god or a human?

Reviewer’s Opinion: I really like this book because it talks about the 12 Olympians and I like learning about them. I think learning about it is cool and learning there symbols and names in Greek and Latin. I think the movie is a really good movie and the book is even more interesting.

If you want to figure out the color she turned READ PINKALICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!

Reviewer’s Opinion: I like this book because it is funny and i like the color pink (but not better than blue).

Starter/Lead/Hook/Grabber: This is a five star book. This book is really funny and has a great story line. This is a great book if you have a sweet tooth for reading.

Summary: This book is about a boy named john loves chocolate and he spends all of his money on candy. But he eats too much candy and goes to the doctor for check up. John was going over to his friends when he found a quarter  on the sidewalk. Then has he is turning a corner he see a candy store he never seen before. He goes in and sees a owner and he asks for a box of chocolate and he  give him the coin and leaves when he gets home he opens it and there is only one chocolate he eats it then. To find out the rest you will have to read the book.    

Reviewer’s Opinion: I think this is a great book. This book made me have a good laugh and a crave for some chocolate. This is a five star book if you want to have A good laugh

Summary: Geronimo is in a lot of trouble this time! There’s a one-eyed mouse who is paying some anonymous mouse to take down The Rodent’s Gazette. But he’s getting help from a friend, Shift T Paws. Shift T Paws doesn’t give anyone a lot of time to talk. Find out more by reading this book!


Reviewer’s Opinion: This is one of my favorite books I’m really into the Geronimo Stilton series. I think all of the books are great but this one really sticks out.
