Starter/Lead/Hook/Grabber: Raina wanted to be normal until she fell and two of her teeth fell off. She had to get braces and then when it didn’t work the doctor put on headgear. She had to have surgery, a retainer and she did not like it. All she wanted to be was a normal sixth grader.
Summary: There was once a girl named Raina she wanted to be a normal sixth grader. Until one day after girl scouts she ran and fell and her two front teeth fell off she had to get braces. Then her doctor said I will take them off and put headgear. Now Raina will suffer with surgery and a retainer ( it means a thing that holds something in place) with fake teeth. They also end up having an earthquake.
Reviewer’s Opinion: I think this book is a great book because it talks about someone’s life and makes the character have opinions and different feelings at different times. It also, has a theme and a plot. If you read this book try to figure out the theme and the plot.
