Summary: There is a ten year old girl named Ada that gets treated badly by her own MOTHER. She meets a lady named Susan Smith that helps Ada and her little brother to save them from a war. Ada gets crutches for her clubbed foot, Jamie misses his home and Miss Smith is irritated by Jamie. Miss Smith is treated like Ada and Jamie’s mother because their mother is so cruel and mean to Ada.
